What VPN provider do you use?

Many thanks, your “easy” way works !
Now i just have to find a way to do ~ the same but with Elive-beta …
For the release i have is based on debian but i386…
& i need amd64.
I had uge isues just trying to cross-grade, in fact i destroyed the distro !
Big big mess but hopefully i have few external backups.
So just cost me time & learned a “good” lesson !
I know i’m no dev at all
No jokes
Pity for the machine with Eli. distro with Enlightenment DM
as about 1T of datas…
So i keep trying…with caution .
Thanks for help
F.

Thank a lot freebird54.
The “client” was installed, thanks again to @jiibus, just using AUR.
BUT now, i give a try to u’r trick …“There even is a util called debtap”…
& find out if this util can work on Elive-beta(i386),E16,Enlightenment DM.
I will do my best not to kill the distro this time, safety first…
And cross-grading can be dangerous.
Have a nice day/night.
Fred.

Mullvad is really good, and you get wireguard and an app that works really well on Linux.

Thanks!

Just came across this video while looking for info on VPN

If you pick VPN for privacy / escaping censorship - in my opinion it doesn’t really matter which one of reputable ones to use, just pick one outside of your country / it’s allies

Coz even if they’ll log - there’s way lower chance they would give a crap about giving it up to your authorities, only about their own.

Still it’s best to use TOR :upside_down_face:

I’m still on Air as they’ve been consistently good in their customer service. During a temporary crackdown their servers were blocked by the local regime and when I reported it they immediately offered me a refund. Fortunately, it was just a temporary situation.

My back up would be Mullvad as they also offer port forwarding which I require.

So if you just want everything encrypted running DoH and HTTPS-Only Mode is enough? If you have a dynamic IP, you can change the IP as well. For me, there is only one reason for VPN. Bittorrent!

At least you don’t have to have your ISP curiosity. However, you must trust your DNS provider. You always have to trust someone, unfortunately!

do you know which VPN has dedicated servers?
I’ve just read that maybe Mullvad has no dedicated servers

Hmmm… I’ll have to look into Mullvad, i was considering them.

I have read it here, where they compare VPN providers

but I’ve read now that also Mullvad owns some servers:

Thanks, looking at AzireVPN. :+1:t3:

Is this the latest clip with Rob Braxman?

I do not see YouTube just the link to YouTube. just me blocking Google.

I’ve seen most things with him. I agree with a lot but not everything he says.

Yep, I saw it yesterday at Odysee so I know which one it is.

I don’t trust any VPN provider at all.

Edit:

But I don’t trust anyone! Not even myself

Interesting, you don’t any VPN? Mullvad or AzireVPN included?

They’re among the better. But I wouldn’t trust them completely.

Odysee, thanks checking them out.
