What I do when I am not dealing with Linux

I’ve only spent a day and night in Winnipeg. Not high on my places to revisit list, but Winnepeger’s are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. My mom was from Winnepeg and she was the nicest person I’ve met in my life (of course I’m a little biased).

@tbg seeing the flag and the leaf are making me crave Sortilege … I’ve already got a trip to NB planned for next summer since COVID locked down the borders when I was supposed to visit earlier this year.

You might be biased, but my experience matches up quite well… some of the nicest people are FROM Winterpeg… er Winnipeg. I wonder how that happens?

It’s a thing in frozen places, all over the globe:
If you wanna survive you have to be nice!
Otherwise you gonna freeze to death or left alone without food

In my experience it’s also same for all kind of different frozen places - people are nice usually

That makes sense - as does the frequency with which they go elsewhere! Almost anywhere else, they can laugh at the weather - and tell us about “this is nothing… when I was a kid…”

Mainly laundry , making coffee, travelling, reading/learning and playing with my kids. Since the stay at home order I have started a garden with tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. We’ll see how that goes. :grinning:

Gardening, yeah!! :seedling: :herb: :tomato: In these chaotic times, it is always good to have a plan B for food. :man_farmer:

When I’m not dealing with Linux I like to travel. But now with these covid restrictions I have had to do something else. Like going fishing. Well, I would do that anyway, because fishing is my passion…
The other passion is of course music and it’s impossible to get bored with these beauties… :grinning:

Fishing, well said. I spent the day yesterday power washing off the muscles and scraping the barnacles from the bottom of my boat. That kept me pretty busy.

A little more work to do on the boat then I think it’s time for a trip to the West Coast for some Halibut and Salmon fishing.

I have only small rowing boat…
But damn, I’m fit after rowing all summer on the lake!

It’s matters not what the boat is like, being on the water is the best thing there is.

God does not deduct from your allotted span, the time spent fishing.

True. I think there’s no better way to forget all everyday problems than going fishing. It’s pure zen to me.

Ain’t that the truth.

Nope.
I simply cannot grasp the premise of this question.
It seems too far-fetched to be serious.
I understand each individual word, but it blows my mind to see them arranged in a sequence like this!
