I played it for the first time a few months ago, but they had problems updating the Linux version and it lagged behind Windows.
I almost forgot about the game - until they released an update, bringing it on par with the Windows version.
Now Iām back at it and quite impressed, although itās not finished yet, some classes and skill trees are missing.

Itās rated extremely well and has native Linux support, I think itās going to be my next purchase, got to support as many developers making native Linux games as I can!
Yeap, it exists and works okay, the only downside is that it runs in offline mode of course, so you do lose out on the real time air traffic, weather, etc.
I have it on Windows (I know, I know, but I do need it for work ) my system consists of a 3900X, 32GB 3600MHz, and a 2080 Ti, all overclocked to the edge of stability. Itās true what they say, this game is like the new, āCan it run Crysis?ā. On my system at 1440p, Iām lucky to hit 50 fps on Ultra sometimes
The geographic data, along with all the real-time stuff is streamed off of Microsoftās servers, and chew through a hefty amount of data doing it too. Not surprising really given theyāve more or less accurately modelled the entire Earthās surface in the game, or as accurately as Bing Maps can (the source for their data).
Iāve noticed that some games doesnāt even start with wininet disabled, as this is essential component for some startup-checkups for many programsā¦
