Hi @morrison, welcome. I think you’re going to like EOS and this forum. I too run KDE and am totally happy with it.

Well, after toying around with Mate and Lxqt I ended up here.
As minimal an install as I dared making it (case in point: I forgot pulseaudio…)

Very nice…i see kwin_wayland and xwayland. There are a few things i don’t know what they are. How does one get rid of the clock that always shows up on the end of the latte dock?

You just delete it like any other app, that`s all. Yeah, wayland works almost ok in plasma, though a little bit more resource-hungry (but still in the 450-500 MiB area when cold & with the extra burden I added on).
The one (late) issue is with Viber. With the latest wayland update I lost it. The icon shows up in the launcher, but it misses the

xdg-shell-v6

yet.

Thanks, mate!!

That wallpaper looks like it was made for Deepin. That slightly glossy look

This is my latest ArchLabs i3wm desktop. Not much changes for me other than normally the wallpaper.

Great looking set up… ehm… I miss one significant logo though… No ArchLabs? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To be fair, my install says ArchLabs on Neofetch. (officially I run ArchLabs with EndeavourOS repo added.)

My install is so old and so customised from what ArchLabs actually is I renamed it “Dobbie Linux”.

This thread may be of relevance then

Edit: quote added.
