i might do a Arch or Endeavouros Gnome 44 vm plus play with some extensions i do like blur my dash ( think that the name) + dash to panel .
I donât know this one. I use Blur my shell.
Also dash to panel.
you correct ⌠it (blur my shell)
That is a nice one. You get some nice look when you are in overview/activity.
You got a minimal set of extension, enough for getting a nice looking DE.
Yours look always very nice. I like minimalist backgrounds and no âclutterâ on the screen.
However, I have to confess that I use a few more extensions than you do
This is what I see currently when I log in to my Arch-GNOME:
The panel on top is set to autohide
yes panel on auto hide ( slow i remove panel from all )
i no need much a terminal (tmux ) + few browser i good for go
YesâI build Conkys & yes, Iâve used Wayland & it works very well.
Cool⌠Iâll try it myself⌠Very nice Gnome you have over thereâŚ
WellâŚIâm not sureâŚhave you loged out & back in? You can also do ALT+F2 and then r to restart the shell.
OâI see install gmenu & then recheck. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gmenu
Thank YouâŚIf you look at https://www.pling.com/s/Linux/browse?cat=124&ord=latest , youâll find a large number of ConkyâŚI have all my work there.
Another pointâif you use Dash to DockâŚthe 9 dot item on the left side opens up the overview to get all applicationsâŚI use both depending on where Iâm at on the screenâŚnice to have multiple choices.
sudo pacman -Syu gnome-menus
and it should work.
Yesâyou pointed Rick the right wayâŚmy bad.
Gnome is back, everyone installing it now I see
Not me.
Iâm just proving a point. Install is much harder than KDE. Have to deal with extensions that donât work. KDE install and bam on the desktop! Everything just works!
You seem to have an agenda. - Ha!
All depends on your poisonâŚTo meâit takes a few minutes & I am doneâŚ
I spend far more time messing with my ConkysâŚ
