Where is Gnome 44?

Do yourself a favor, install e.g. opensnitch, then you’ll see with your own eyes.

Do me a favor and tell me if you know already. Post some info/facts and I believe you.

I am interested in the

part.

You could open a new thread for this. I’m sure many KDE Plasma and GNOME users will be interested.

I also wanted to ask where Gnome 44 is, then I saw this topic. Gnome 44.1 arrived with this morning’s updates. Who notices and what differences compared to Gnome 43 are obvious at first?

any improvements with fractional scaling ?

I followed your advice.

Still I fail to to see how GNOME gathers information on my “computing-behavior” and “publicize” it.

I allowed two processes related to GNOME to connect to Internet:

Gnome Extension Manager
Open Weather (extension)

That is what I decided to do myself.

None of the above is part of GNOME DE as such. They are things I have installed myself and obviously for functioning as interned, they need network connection.

I don’t see anything else related to GNOME (gnome-shell) asking for permission for network connection.

Gnome 44 is here! (I think)

Can you please elaborate on this? What does "publicizing” mean? Putting it on a public web page or what?
What do you mean with “your computing-behavior”? What is that?

I have been using a computer at work with pop os, so far no problem with the fractional scaling and different screen resolutions. I regularly connect my laptop to different screens and projectors and everything scales and is stable, no crashes. Scaling has in quarter increments 100, 125, 150% etc.

I don’t think I’ve seen your desktop?

I tried what you posted above but the extensions won’t install. I get an error message.

Edit: Okay I think i figured it out except nothing is showing apps? How does that work?

Here is what it looks like today…

If so, does it work with Wayland?

Why aren’t you using it on EndeavourOS then if it’s so good?
