How it runs? I miss too those times but heard only bad things about the pixel remastered…really in doubt if buying or not

depends… running it fullscreen gives screentearing…
running it borderless windowed makes it much better

edit:
You could also have a look at the GBA or PSP version if you don’t care for the orchestral soundtrack of the pixel remasters…

especially the psp version of FF4 looks really nice in my opinion, and packs lots of extra content that the pixel remaster doesn’t have

Can’t recommend this game enough. A very funny and challenging physics game. It also takes place in space and reminds me a lot of our distro :enos_flag:
Check it out if you haven’t already!

What game? Can you name it in plain text? My browser does not display your link, and I’m certainly not going to go to steam website to look at it.

I decided that it’s time to give Witcher 3 another run, now that I have a more powerful rig than in 2016 when I played it last. For modding, I will first focus on installing some graphics mods like HD Reworked Project, some nice Reshade and other things like grass enhancement, shadow improvements etc to max it out.

When it comes to gameplay, do you have any suggestion for an “overhaul mod”? I have only played vanilla so far and the following three seem to be popular:

Also, after RDR2, Roach feels like sluggish tank, anything that can be done about that :upside_down_face: ?

Yet another playthrough of Chrono Trigger… don’t know how many times i’ve beat this game yet, but it’s oh so good!

oh and it has frogge knight… some people seem to have an affinity for frogs here :frog:

Incredible game! Have to play it again as soon as I’ve time to spare!

the guys at RGB-PI release the alpha build of their RGB PI OS4…
was as good a reason as any to swap out the pi3b+ with a pi4, put on the GPIO to SCART cable, and hook the puppy up to my crt to play some good old Chrono Trigger…

btw, on the small change that someone here is into CRT’s and RGB gaming, here is a teaser of the new alpha build of the OS

Love that game, I’ll have to play it again once I’m done with Earthbound

will have to do another playthrough of Earthbound too…
found an MSU-1 patch for it, that gives higher quality music…

but i guess after Chrono Trigger, the Pixel Remaster of FF VI will have to come first…
it released yesterday

Just an FYI for folks who might be interested

Elden Ring mostly works OOTB if you run it with the flatpak steam. All i had to do was enable bleeding edge proton experimental and install EAC runtime. Generally I would say avoid any game using EAC but Elden Ring is so good and so anticipated at least running it in a flatpak doesnt hurt as much.

I’m trying with non flat pack version of steam and EAC doesn’t want to start. Need to debug why

afaik nobody has gotten it to work without the flatpak version on Arch, Fedora, or Suse. Ubuntu seems to work fine but that make sense considering Ubuntu is the Steam Runtime base.

I didn’t know this game, casual gamer… Look at this trailer, pretty amazing!

Edit: this game just came out on Xbox and pc…

So what do I need to do if I already have steam installed. I don’t want to delete my downloads. Can I simply install a second flatpak version and it should work?

You can have the repo and flatpak steam installed side by side. I just moved everything from the repo steam directory to flatpak steam directory and converted to the flatpak version.

I can give more details when I’m at my pc
