@Zircon34 on another note the game was co written by George R.R Martin and made by fromsoftware so you know its good ![]()
That is pretty awesome!
@Zircon34 So now that i can give better details, if you decide to switch to flatpak steam entirely you can move your “userdata” and “steamapps” folders to /home/username/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam/ and merge them with the same directories in that folder after starting steam and logging in for the first time.
If you just want to use flatpak for Elden Ring you need have the steam flatpak and the “com.valvesoftware.Steam.CompatibilityTool.Proton-Exp” flatpak installed. If using gnome software to install it give those as optional install. You will also need to install “Proton EasyAntiCheatRuntime” through flatpak steam.
Now right click on Elden Ring Properties->Compatibility->Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool, then select Proton Experimental. After that to get controllers working Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> Click DESKTOP CONFIGURATION. In the config window do BROWSE CONFIGS -> TEMPLATES -> GAMEPAD -> APPLY CONFIGURATION -> DONE. If The game is done downloading it should just work after these steps. You wont have steam overlay in game but you can enjoy online and offline play.
… isn’t there some other book series he was meant to be finishing…? ![]()
On another note, I’m playing Jade Empire. Took some fiddling to make it go, but it seems like a solid bioware adventure so far!
he kinda works on the same time frame as Valve lol
Itll get done when its done and not a moment sooner ![]()
Thanks for the instructions. I’ve to say that it doesn’t works for me anyway. EAC starts, initialize correctly, then the windows disappears and nothing else happens. Same that when using repo steam with proton experimental.
Are you using i3 or plasma? I know some have been having issues with those DEs.
Ok wow, ye I’ve tried on plasma. I’ll try again tomorrow on awesomewm then and see if things change.

Tried this game years ago and never finished it, time to give it another go
i think this is easily one of the best gba games ever made…
I think Nintendo made a big mistake be never localising it to the west.
Luckily this fan translation is great
The only mistranslation I’ve noticed so far is sun instead of son. But 100% agree even a release now on steam would have me buying it. Loved the other 2 but they really need to modernised
That so got added to my steam wishlist. I love that art style. I have put way too many hours into neon abyss which is a totally different type of game but has that same art style.
I have been playing that one on my 2dsxl. I actually like that one better than 2/earthbound.
oh you might also like Lenna’s Inception then, if those 16-bit-ish graphics are your jam
it’s an old-style Zelda clone, but with procedural generated dungeons
Oh sweet…I love the Zelda series and Zelda clones…also I love 16 but games and these new modern 16 but style games as well. I probably play SNES and Genesis/megadrive just as much as I do more modern stuff.
Hell I really have to get that one because the title is my mom’s name.
Oh in that case:
if you happen to have a SCART capable CRT tv, and a Raspberry Pi 3 or 4, i’d really encourage you to give the guys at RGB-Pi a look…
Those guys managed to develop a GPIO to RGB SCART-cable, and have their own OS based on retropie.
on the Pi 3 you are limited to version 2 of the OS, which sends everything in (glorious) 240P to the TV…
right now the alpha build of OS version 4 is out for the Pi 4, and oh boy is that a gamechanger… support for lightguns, on they fly core-accurate resolution switching (instead of forcing everything to 240P), and with the extra power of the Pi4 even Dreamcast/Naomi/Atomiswave is possible

Yeah I don’t have scart stuff. Here in the U.S. we didn’t really get much of the scart stuff. I have a CRT with component, s-video and composite(came out at the end of CRTs being a thing) for playing real consoles and a retrotink2x mini for hooking up to modern TVs (mostly for playing games with the kids.) Or I just emulate through my snes mini, genesis mini, atgames legends gamer pro(for arcade games) or PC for anything not in those 3 or that I don’t have a real console of.
I’ve been playing Gran Turismo 7 and Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel lately. I obviously still play Final Fantasy XIV, but only to raid like 3 nights a week.
