Funny, because few weeks ago, I installed Dinky looking for a Nano replacement, it also use this old “menus interface”.
Mate, you’re my man. I never needed anything else, reminding to report of it to some live systems… and they did it. Maybe it was Systemrescue. Check that out too.
Does it work in a TTY/Virtual Terminal? Because a true replacement of vi/vim ought to work in a Virtual terminal/TTY.
Yes, it works in TTY.
Makes pixel art and reduces bandwidth consumption.

by far the best Chromium security knock-off I ever used. Better than thorium, brave, ungoogled, chromium proper. and other “-ium” forks. Found in AUR.
You won’t get it til you try it: quiet, fast, not flashy. But effective. It’s my DD work-purposed browser.
Hey bud, test Trivalent using https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/
then test Helium-browser also found in the AUR. ![]()
I used to maintain slimjet in the AUR but I stopped because their distribution was so questionable and inconsistent.
I couldn’t, in good conscious, continue to package it for others. I am not sure if they fixed things since then or not.
I don’t put a lot of stock in EFF anymore I’ll skip it… ![]()
I have to mangle PDFs every now and then. Was using PDF Tricks but it was very barebones.
Discovered “PDF Arranger” this week, that’s got a better visual interface. Fits my usecase.
@sammiev the results for my Firefox browser are given below. Any idea what can be done to increase the value of unique from 318,855 to say 3,018,855 or even higher?
How to decrease the overall bits of identifying information to say 10 from 18?
@drunkenvicar why dont you put any more stock in EFF?
@drunkenvicar why dont you put any more stock in EFF?
Two Reasons:
-
EFF, its website, CYT, its odd litigation and lobbying, Badger…all frozen in time like a Museum to me. I had no gray hairs when I discovered them a dozen yrs ago. It was new, I was new…I moved on
-
No matter what configuration I tried I ALWAYS had a unique fingerprint. after a while I stopped caring.
I have three really good shutdown browsers, as in rfp, no nonsense, etc. I have browsers that make the Arkenox profile look like a joke (in many ways I did a better job in about:config that the Profile.)
The browsers can do the work, I have less stress, there’s no deep/dark in my life, no industrial downloading,or funny business. I am always paranoid (we all should be digitally) but don’t put myself in the position have having to look over my shoulder.
What I’m scared of is mentioning a sore elbow to a friend then getting ads about it. This turns my stomach. I’ve mostly won this digital fight. On a work computer I marvel at the ads I get…after this many decades they still don’t know me at all…I’m winning on my own it seems.

I never really waste much time on the settings, install a few of the extensions I want and test, if it dose not pass with strong protection I move onto another browser.
I’m happy with one Chrome base browser and Firefox browser for a backup.
One should use the browser that works for them.
I use Mullvad :).
That browser is my El Jefe

Scroll down the page and it tells why your browser is unique.
