Upstream switch to the base-devel meta-package requires manual intervention

https://archlinux.org/news/switch-to-the-base-devel-meta-package-requires-manual-intervention/

What does this mean?
run:
sudo pacman -Syu base-devel

This will change to the meta package instead of the group used before.
Read here for all the details:

Thank’s @keybreak for the hint b.t.w. :sunglasses:

@joekamprad , does this also affect the new installation with the Cassini Neo ISO, or is this already fixed there?

Thank you…I’m sure that my system needs it:

[dean@asus-z690 Desktop]$ stat / | grep Birth
 Birth: 2021-09-17 20:32:07.000000000 -0700

And that was a reinstall from the 2020 one (I barfed that one…)

On February 2nd, the base-devel package group has been replaced by a meta package of the same name.

Cassini neo ISO is build on 8th of February 2023

So even offline installs with the latest ISO will not need to reinstall as a package…
Only installs done before February 2nd, 2023 need that.

And nothing to fix anyway from our side on the ISO as it is replaced with the same name no change is needed.
