This is my problem for me with legacy social media and most “globohomo” institutions in general. What even is “Hate speech”? It’s just a tool used by certain “people” to limit discourse in their favor, particularly surrounding certain collective groups interest.
The statement “I hate you” isn’t “hate speech”, supposedly. Hell, most of these platforms make blatant open statements against people of my demographics without consequence. People like that want me gone. Why go on a platform, or any system for that matter, that is rigged against you?
Anywho, I do have a thing for using social platforms. The only two that really hold me are Gab and Odysee (LBRY). I can simply be myself without some deranged power-tripping loser breathing down my neck about their “consequences” for me going down a path outside their straight and narrow upside down moral rules sponsored by corporations and the press.
“Hate speech” is intentionally vaguely defined, so that it can be selectively enforced to silence opinions that those with power find uncomfortable or threatening. It’s tyranny in disguise of good intentions. It’s the oldest trick in the book. And it’s foolproof: dare to dislike it, and you must be not only stupid, but an evil, hateful person!
Regarding Gab, and this is just my personal opinion of it after using it for about a month: I was attracted to it by a cute frog logo, but none of my friends were there, and the place was just dull, so I just stopped logging in… Also, I don’t like that twatter-style of social media, where people post short texts and links.

I will just say, the LUoG (Linux Users of Gab) group is really popping now. Had Mythlogos and Bryan Lunduke pop in and say hi recently. Would recommend checking out once in a while.
Also we have an extensive Matrix network now.
