Unless the existence of an AUR package is somehow conflicting with the software’s licence, the developer of the application has no say in the matter.
Just having fun saving a “unsavable” laptop for a friend. This is the closest I have gotten to running Linux on a toaster.
It’s not really a Linux project, but I’m running it in a VM on a Linux host, so…close enough?
FreeBSD, with Plasma desktop. I’m liking it a lot so far.
I converted my vimrc to lua and it took me some time because I am such an idiot. But now it is done and I am happy idiot.
thinking about tiling wm challenge. Trying perhaps leftwm or spectrwm, or going back to qtile/xmonad or awesome. Too many choices!
Switching to kde plasma…
WM hopping is just like distro hopping. Even when you love what you have…you just get that itch. I’m having a “needs Gold Bond” moment again myself.
Trying out some sleep
right now.
Writing from my Plasma desktop. task accomplished
mission acomplished! Spectrwm
distro hopping thats mostly over for me since I found EOS. Sometimes I try Pop OS or Debian. WM hoping is fun because each has another language/config style which makes it interesting. Else hopping Gnome/KDE/Xfce about once a year.
What’s “Gold Bond”?
Anti-itch powder
Got a $45 barebones mini-PC (from 2011) from a second-hand tech place. Needed a $15 HDD and a $15 network adapter and I’ve managed to get Ubuntu running on it. Only 2GB of RAM though, so I’ll probably need to get some more. Ultimate goal is to attach it to the TV and let my roommates watch movies off it.
Not directly Linux project but is going to be done on a Linux system.
Need to “compartmentalize” my passwords for different sites and services.
As it is now they are all over the place, using a couple of different password managers.
A bit of a mess
Going to play with LXLE and get things installed in it that I use regularly and remove things that I dont like or never use.
Did you mean LXDE ? If not what is LXLE ?
Pudge
LXLE from distrowatch:https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=lxle
"LXLE is an easy-to-use lightweight desktop Linux distribution based on Lubuntu and featuring the LXDE desktop environment. Compared to its parent, LXLE has a number of unique characteristics: it is built from Ubuntu’s LTS (long-term support) releases, it covers most users’ everyday needs by providing a good selection of default applications, and it adds useful modifications and tweaks to improve performance and functions. "
Ya learn something every day. Got my quota I can go to bed now.

I think that maybe you also found the Suse CD in the supplement of the Chip magazine. I met him there for the first time, and besides Red Hat, Suse was the first Linx distribution I tried. I still have openSUSE Tumbleweed installed on my desktop.
