Thanks God it's weekend, what Linux project do you have in mind?

It took me forever when I first started to figure out what the hell Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu all meant lol.

That sounds like a great idea, and a very long weekend

That definitely added another layer of confusion

I recall also someone at work saying ā€œI use Ubuntu because it’s idiot proofā€. That’s when I switched to Ubuntu Lucid Lynx. Good times :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

A new weekend and my AYANEO Air Pro just arrived. Time to Linux it up…though this is getting ChimeraOS rather than Endeavour.

I could not resist so jumped from KDE Plasma to i3 and this is super fun! I chose i3 mainly because it was the easiest to configure. I tested Awesome and Qtile too but I had no time (or patience) to learn lua and Python enough to get my setup way I wanted.

So far this weekend, I’ve taken up the maintenance of an orphaned AUR package, updated the pkgbuild (added new dependency & updated version number to current), and successfully uploaded it to the AUR.

And it seems to work…

what package?

The developer of the application does not approve of there being an AUR package and said so on the comments two years ago. So for the moment I’m keeping

But you might be able to guess from this page https://aur.archlinux.org/packages?SB=l&SO=d

I don’t want to guess. Either you tell us here or send me a PM. I don’t want to play detective today
:male_detective:t4: :ninja:t4:

Not much of a ninja are you?

PM sent :email:

Depends on the day

Inspired by you, I’ve also adopted a package. Can you tell what package it is?

Trying to figure out how to install software / packages on EndeavourOS…

its easy just use yay or pacman

No project. I just do what an OS is supposedly made for: I use it as my OS. Which means blogging, piratizing movies and music, media consumption, all the usual mom n pop stuff.

This is very good to have. I had one stick with Manjaro Linux in the past and now I have a stick with endeavouros. In both cases I followed the instructions given by Phil from the Manjaro team:

Looks like this is the original project, and not maintained anymore:

Indeed, nice to have. Can’t even remember If I put Fedora on it or EnOS, as it hast been lying in the drawer since.
