My new acquisition, Shuttle DH670V2,
absolutely quiet and 24\7 suitable.
Small, black, fast. Exactly that ![]()
Haha, yes, black is wonderful.
The wifeās car died, so I finally had a legit reason to get the truck Iāve wanted.
Goodbye. No more Chevrolet ever. Welcome- Tacoma. I hope to have this forever. When itās no longer my everyday truck, I hope to make it into my retirement camping vehicle.
I decided to get some dirt on the tires and break it in this weekend. I had to, you know, make sure the locker and the off road stuff all works. ![]()
That question came to my mind several times in the past. Iāve to constantly calculate things in my job and I couldnāt live without numpad.
Nice Tacoma! Iāve always liked Toyota and currently drive a Tundra.
Whatās that thing in the sky by the cloud in the middle of the picture?
Totally agreed on standalone keyboards. No numpad is an instant disqaulifier for me. I wonāt even CONSIDER a keyboard that doesnāt have one.
Oddly, on laptops, Iām the absolute opposite. I DESPISE +10 keypads on laptops due to them making you off center to the monitor. So a numpad on a laptop is an instant hard pass for me. ![]()
I believe itās a kite.
The wind was absolutely rocking.
The fally.of buying used cars.
Itās almost as if this was a crashed car I had to fix!
How can you guys live without a numpad?
I understand, Iām an older guy who learned typing when those keyboards didnāt exist. Numpad for entering number? Iām a ninja!
But eventually I realized I move my hand away form the home-row every time I type numbers. Thatās not very efficient. Maybe it would be better to have learned typing numbers on the main keys in the first place.
So I forced my self to switch. Yes it was painful in the beginning, but itās fine now. And - maybe thatās an age thing too - it feels like less straining having the mouse hand not so far out.
I learned to type before keyboards (let alone numpads) but the first chance I had to get a numpad (with its OWN home keys moulded in) I took it⦠It as a little odd to have a hardware numpad attached to a C64 - but good for entering those magazine ML programs!
Yes, I am in the numpad or forget it box nowā¦
I donāt even remember that was a thing. And yes, I had a C64 too. - If you type in listings or calculation tables all day go for it, no objection. ![]()
Separate item, wired through the cartridge port - then wired to an expansion (5 ports) that was itself through the cartridge port⦠3 game carts, 1 printer interface, and the numpad ![]()
I still have the expansion port in the back of my C128D - but the numpad is now replace by a built-in to the C128D keyboard!
How do you like the Lenovo Tab P12?
God I love this stuff.

This topic is full of awesome hardware purchases, gadgets, speakers, tablets and equipment of all sorts.
YOU, sir, have won the topic! I could eat that whole damn tub in one sitting! ![]()

The screen is superb. The split screen is pretty sweet, but I havenāt delved into whatās possible with split features. Itās much faster than my Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus. The pen is a nice touch, I havenāt used it much yet though but itās fun to use. Boot up doesnāt really take a long time. The fingerprint sensor takes between 1-2 seconds closer to 1. Screen gets decently bright but I havenāt check outdoors in sunlight. Battery is massive and I havenāt noticed any draining at all but I donāt do strenuous things so thereās that to consider. The UI looks impressive.
Not much more I can offer since itās a new experience coming from an Amazon tablet and Iām still learning.
