The knife only, not the hand…
I had an old Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. I haven’t used it in about a year. Laggy, stuttery, pretty much a mess. Just not enjoyable to use at all. So I picked up a Galaxy A9 Plus. I never use tablets for gaming. I just needed a solid tablet for browsing the web, email, documents, and media consumption. This fits the bill just fine. Inexpensive, not amoled but definitely an above average 11" screen, excellent Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos. All I need, really…
Congrats!
Love Keychron. I was stupid enough to buy a top of the line Razer mech keyboard for Windows gaming. You have to install a whole friggin’ suite just to get it to work properly, and the onboard memory only works if you have that installed. That just doesn’t make any sense.
With Keychron, only thing you have to do is set the onboard memory from the website and it just works both on Windows and Linux.
Thanks
What launcher you have here?
Abrakadabra Launcher ![]()
that’s called smart launcher (beta)
3 things I bought recently (in the last 2 years):
- Samsung LF24T350F 24" FHD IPS Monitor
- tp-link AX1500 router
- CIY mechanical kb (Brown switches)
The screen ain’t anything special but afaik is Samsung the OEM, gives me the thinnest bezels. and all the other companies using the same panel (i.e. Benq, Acer) don’t look as nice and are more expensive.
My 100/100 fibre connection always gave me speedtests of 93/93, until my old router dieded. The new one - with 4 antennae! - gives me 103 down/ 106 up!!! \o/ YAY! \o/
The CIY kb was very cheap (~50 $€) but is awesome. Totally modable by switching out switches and keycaps and easily cleanable due to the removable shroud, which connects via magnets.
All 3 purchases I can recommend wholeheartedly.
I have completed the transition to “small boxes”.
My system used to be like this: Foobar2000 => M-Audio Firewire 410 => Exposure 2010i => Triangle Titus 202.
Today I look like this: Deadbeef => Fiio LA UB1 => iPurifier => Fiio K7bt + Fiio PL50 => Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80 ohm.
I redesigned the headphones for a balanced connection and a replaceable cable.
Sometimes I use a Douk U10 hybrid headphone amplifier.
The current configuration fully meets my requirements for today.
“Музыка” on hdd, I guess collection is quite huge and files are flac?
A waterproof frame bag with smartphone holder for my bike. A few small items such as keys and wallet fit inside.
Now I’m re-forming the collection - the views on music have changed somewhat.
I’m listening right now
FLAC prevails, but there are also WAV, APE, DSF… There is also an exotic one - a master recording with a duration of 6 minutes 40 seconds and a size of 1.2 gigabytes.
Mp3 cannot be listened to on the current “bundle” - all compression defects are audible.
Couldn’t resist this combination:
- Hot swapable switches
- Split spacebar
- Not only one volume-knob but three rotary knobs
- qmk OSS firmware support and configurable with via (If you work through compiling the qmk firmware yourself at the moment - pull request pending. It isn’t Plug&Play!)
- Imho very reasonable price point at around 80 bucks
I was a little bit worried since the official product pictures - and the name - gives the impression of cheap Alibaba-ware. But it feels solid and looks a lot better in reality. Thumbs up.
MeLE Quieter 4C-N100 16GB/512GB (fanless PC that can fit in your pocket) with a pair of XREAL Air 2 AR Glasses as its monitor. Actually left Windows 11 on this unit, but used Chris Titus’s Windows strip down script.
How can you guys live without a numpad?
Yer I hate not having one too hey, I remember on my last laptop I bought a keyboard just so I had something better to type with
