Me on Spiral KDE yesterday:
$ sudo apt remove vlc
$ sudo apt remove libvlc

Interestingly, it reports zero bytes available in the possible partitions to install, except the Slackware 32-bit one. No I didn’t go ahead with the installation. I’m afraid of anything not Calamares at this point.
