spent some hours tweaking my old computer, small monitor and not that much ram on it
png:
I can’t believe it’s not Mac, it just looks like a perfect recreation, nice job!
thanks, i re-uploaded one of the screenshots in png, it’s the first one in my post
What distro is that?
New EndeavourOS, KDE Plasma, Design is “Expose Air”, Widgets are from Plasma-systemmonitor, slightly modified.
Obviously Gnome is NOT as easy to theme as KDE (or most other DEs), but I got a little done. I like it so far. This is my Fedora 40, Gnome 46 install on my Samsung Galaxy Book Pro laptop…
better polybar, juicy wallpaper (don’t ask) and some info on the notifications instead of neofetch (RIP)
wallpaper: here
Now that’s a very successful color scheme. Found it on pling, called Greeze
Colorscheme, Konsole colorscheme, Global Theme Blur and transparency as usual. Klassy Window Decoration slightly modified . Colloid purple Icons
Thats pretty neat
EDIT: Changed the Wallpaper
My refurbished Thinkpad T460 needed some distro testing. First choice was Lilidog. Nice debian stable based openbox distro.
Never enough love for Openbox!
Although, when it comes to Debian-based distros with Openbox, nothing beats Crunchbang++. Its default theming is very spartan, but it’s open for experiments.
Desktop files are added left-to-right in the topline, because trash floats to the top in the ocean wallpaper (a joke).
Finally getting my Fedora 40 Workstation laptop tweaked as I like it. Changed Gnome Shell theme, icons and wallpaper, stayed with the Ark-Darker system theme. Plus various Gnome Shell extensions.
More distro testing on my Thinkpad T460. From Distrowatch waiting list I found CuerdOS, an interesting Spanish xfce-distro. Works pretty well on this old laptop and looks good too.
Back on my MacMini desktop. Tweaked Klassy settings a bit, change icons to Fluent Dark, and a new wallpaper…
