Share Your Desktop

Probably old news for some, but to complete your desktop you can easily make your own Firefox theme. Makes for a coherent desktop, it is hard to find a pre-made themes that tick all the boxes and play along with your personal desktop theme.

I haven’t tested it yet personally, but it looks like you can do in a few minutes.

For me, modern is a very clean, non - distracting look which still shows of good design if you take the time to look at it

A little heads-up here grim region and window screenshots are not working great on hyprland,only full desktop screenshots works but it works if you keep grim and also install hyprshot because with hyprshot, region, output (full desktop) and window are working.

i have bind it like this in my config

bind=,Print,exec,hyprshot --mode region -o $HOME/Pictures/Screenshots/$(date +‘%s.png’)
bind=SHIFT,Print,exec,hyprshot --mode output -o $HOME/Pictures/Screenshots/$(date +‘%s.png’)
bind=SUPERSHIFT, P,exec,hyprshot --mode window -o $HOME/Pictures/Screenshots/$(date +‘%s.png’)

HI, i tested also the finger gestures and that works great with 3 fingers on the touchpad.
mouse gestures i still have to test but i think how my config is setup they have to work too.

Those are great for touchpad users. I asked because I only have desktop computer right now.

On my desktop i still have to install hyprland but that beast has a nvidia GPU so that’s going to be a bit harder i think but i will find out i think i’m going to play with that this coming weekend.

Hi guys my waybar is ready now ! i have added a taskbar module but is highly customized.

Only one thing there is keeping a small black thingie visible in the bar when all windows (workspaces) are closed see the screenshot below and that is color of the background module, i can hide this but now is my question is this disturbing ?

Or should i remove the taskbar module ??

Just feel free to slap me or not :wink: :joy:

Looks great!
It doesn’t seem disturbing to me. But if I could hide it, so that it automatically appears when you open a window, I think I would do that.

Perhaps you could make one module for each workspace?

Wow, there is some real talent on here. “OsX is the most beautiful desktop.” ← yeah right!

very nice job I prefer basic

Up to you, but how often do you actually look at it without a program open?

Plasma is bloat. You should be on openbox :wink:
