it… has blur

A dock from the olden days on Openbox-Ubuntu. Not yet tried on Arch. Last release 6 years ago!

Using Mojave icons, by the way.

Funny story, I tried Cinnamon this weekend, and when clean-installing Xfce today my package count went down with 30 packages, yet I don’t think I am missing anything. Oh well.

Also, all this talk about Gnome 40 makes me curious again. At least these days I am just DE hopping occasionally instead of Distro AND DE hopping all the time which i used to do until late 2020.

Switched from Fedora to, after a long time. :yum:screenshot

You’ve got nearly as much stuff in your dock as I do! Very clean, though…

Just my borring Cinnamon desktop on my old notebook. Nothing special really.

That is the Cairo Dock, which had stopped being maintained since 2014, on Openbox, which was last released in 2015. Both are distro agnostic and desktop agnostic. Works so nicely on a Intel i5 10-gen laptop. Not being developed and maintained appears to be quite good. I put Jgmenu on it too as the app launcher. It is also desktop agnostic.

That’s… grey.

Still working on it…

Can confirm. During COVID there where 2 times where I left my laptop it work for about 3 to 5 months. So 2 times I had to do a big update after a long time and it just went okay without any issues.

So Arch is pretty damn stable so far from my experience.

Love it. There not nearly enough Cinnamon out there. It’s just so polished.

Running i3-gaps! Pretty proud of my desktop

Well… after the great success on my old notebook I decided to feed my big black one with EndeavourOS. Here the results after tweaking Cinnamon a bit with oomox. However, still some issues under the hood that have to be fixed.

Top bar hidden, so the full screen is for work. On bare metal.
