I just don’t know how you’re doing it. That second photo of that applications menu gives me anxiety just looking at it. That menu is 99% if the reason I can’t use gnome. I tried recently again. I’m just not gnome capable.

I used to be in the same boat until I tried Pop!_OS. Its implementation of Gnome is really nice, and nearly converted me but for the fact that 3rd party extensions are essential to have even basic functionality 
Nothing wrong with Gnome its just you are set in your ways, Saying that i don’t use that menu just a simple drop down menu from arc, If i was paranoid about extensions I would use the official gnome extension gnome menu

Thanks! I use Pop Shell for tiling, but in the screenshot I just arranged the windows like that manually. I did use Pop Shell to remove the title bars in the screenshot though.

no doubt - otto keeps changing the rules so soon it will be pretty impossible to post on uporn.
Personally I haven’t posted over there in a couple of years anyway - but it’s kinda annoying seeing all these new Linux users who’s excited and just wanna share their experience - get thrown out like that. otto himself was probably born an expert on ricing

But in hindsight it’s actually a bit foolish to post something on there in the hopes of getting some recognition or beauty points so to say… In the end it’s my setup, the way I want it, and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks… Shouldn’t have posted there in the first place…

the rule - no 3 have been there for years - but as soon as the “dictator” got promoted to mod - he started editing the rule. Earlier - it was we - the users - who voted on the rules - now it seems to be just one man who decides what’s allowed.
In theory I agree with what he’s trying to do - get some quality screenshots - but there’s already r/unixart for that - so I think new users should be allowed to post too.
Defaults could be deleted - but as long as someone shows some effort - well I see no harm in it.
An including community is better than an excluding one
