Happy New Year

The :1st_place_medal: for the first show of his desktop goes to :drum:

Welcome in the year of the Linux Desktop !
it is true at least inside this thread

2 machines in 1 post? Why not…

Daily driver with Arch. Nothing new, except I managed to properly configure Qtile again and switched to Alacritty.

And the EndeavourOS machine, with no changes here.

(might at the very least unify the fastfetch configs, but I’m not bored enough lol)

Using my old favourite colours - Pitch Black
A bit more transparency
Back to the breeze decorations

Oh. And @dirn’s rather excellent icon set.

Same layout as I started a few months ago. I still haven’t found time to tweak my fastfetch config yet.

It’s 2026, and the layout is still the same as last year and the years before :slightly_smiling_face:.

Happy New Year!

Fantastic. Whatever DE/WM works for the user is golden.

ArchBang running Labwc…

Right off before Joe catches me here…..

The current Thinkpad set up: Hyprland w/caelestia shell (Heavily Tweaked and modified)

Just regular EOS i3 without gaps.

New year, new wallpaper for my Linux Hub openbox wm install.

Let me know if I won the fastest update, but I fixed the gap between monitors, so new screenshot

My first desktop in this thread in 2026.

My first attempt with Sway:

Hmmm…not sure why GIMP made this so dark!

EDIT: it wasn’t GIMP, images look normal on my system…
EDIT #2: finally found the cause, ‘Filter Intensify’ mode with Vivaldi.

Zen mode :person_in_lotus_position:

Stress mode :face_in_clouds:

New wallpaper for my ArchBang install. I took the object from an antix wallpaper, colorized it green and set it on a black background using gimp. First pick is the anitx wallpaper and second is the wallpaper I wound up with. Not perfect but I am satisfied with it so far.

Elliot FTW :robot:

polybar for system info on the second monitor.

2026 is here.
Let us hope it is the best year so far.
It would be tough for many, but let us work to help each other
