Specs aren’t everything 
I have a brand new pc, and a reasonably new Ryzen 5 3500u laptop…
but most of my time is spent on an old Dell latitude with a measly dual core I5 5300U cpu in it.
Bought the new laptop about 3-4 months ago, with the idea of it replacing the latitude, but somehow, I just keep coming back to the trusty old Dell

Vaseline next to an internet capable machine, this is an ideal setup.

replace the laptop with a dust-brown nameless tower with a bright white CD Rom (and lose the flat screen, those were not invented yet) and you have my setup from just moving out but unemployed from 1996.
