Looking back at this, it’s been a while since I’ve had to play with winetricks/protontricks and steam but this looks like you’ve just installed the DirectX components into your generic wine prefix.
You would need to install them into the specific prefix for the game you’re trying to run - if using GE Proton doesn’t work, my next piece of advice would be to install protontricks which should automatically detect your Steam games where Proton has been selected as the compatibility tool and allow you to install the relevant components to the right place.
This needs to be done for each individual game as all prefixes are treated as separate installations of components for that specific game, as they all require different Windows component dependencies.
If Steam doesn’t configure them automatically, you can usually find the relevant dependencies by looking up the game on https://steamdb.info/ and checking the ‘Depots’ section, or by checking https://www.protondb.com/ to see if other players have already had similar issues and managed to resolve them.
For using Protontricks, once you run it you should see a list of your steam games. Pick the relevent game, choose “Select the default wineprefix” and then “Install a Windows DLL or Component” which will take you to the list of possible packages to install.
Check the ones you need, hit OK and then wait while it does it’s thing. Eventually it will boot you back to the previous menu at which point you should be ok to close it down and try to start your game again.
If you’ve had issues with flatpaks accessing the drives you use for your steam library I would recommend installing it through yay instead since it’s in the AUR.
Run protontricks -v --gui and show the output in your terminal, you can delete the lines that include your steam name for privacy if you prefer. Should look something like:

We are specifically interested in seeing how many steam library folders it can see.
That suggests to me protontricks isn’t installed correctly or you have used the flatpak version.
It should be as simple as yay protontricks to install from the AUR provided you haven’t disabled the AUR repository.

No need to grab the git version unless you specifically want to compile it yourself.
Select “Native” - I would also suggest removing flatpak Steam entirely if you don’t intend to use it given the issues it had reading your other drives.
