Based on tonight’s match, I’m hoping :england: top Group D and make your dream come true :winking_face_with_tongue:

I don’t have any dreams anymore

No matter against whom, :germany: is out in the quarterfinals. It’s impossible to explain what happened after the first 15 minutes. You have no chance at that level. :sweden: clearly showed :germany: their limits at any time, regardless of whether they had 10 or 11 women on the pitch

:england: were :poop: in their first match, but recovered from that defeat. As long as :germany: learn from what went wrong, thay are still contenders for the :trophy:

It’s not the first time that the Germans have dropped off like that. Or they come late into the game like they did in the first two. The defense is a disaster, the 1:1 should never happen like that.

The game was over after the red card. It is still inexplicable how the team can fall apart like this.

The learning curve is not exactly pronounced.

After the preliminary round matches, the Swedes are among the top three contenders for the title

Five contenders for me - :spain: :sweden: :germany: :france: :england:

Bad group games happen. In the 2023 World Cup, :spain: were stuffed 4-0 in the final group match by :japan: but that didn’t stop them winning the :trophy:

Today’s UEFA Euro 2025 matches are:
:england: vs :wales:
:netherlands: vs :france:

All four teams can still qualify for the quarter-finals, and it is possible for three teams to finish with 6 points (only two teams can enter the thunderdome qualify for the knockouts).

:france: are currently top of the group and qualify if they win or draw. If they lose and :england: do not win, they also qualify. and they also qualify regardless if they lose by less than 3 goals.

:england: are currently second in the group and qualify with a win. If they don’t win, they need to match or better the result of :netherlands:

:netherlands: need to get a better result than :england: unless they beat :france: by 3 or more goals.

:wales: need to beat :england: by 4 or more goals and for :netherlands: to lose.

This afternoon (estimated start time 1500 UTC) is the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final :tennis: between the No 1 & 2 seeds Jannik Sinner :italy: and Carlos Alcaraz :spain:

Alcaraz has won the last two Wimbledon titles, but this will be a much closer match than yesterday’s women’s final :tennis:

Up so far I have been a bit curious about the Tour de France, especially due Mathieu van der Poel.

But as of today, the 10th stage and the first real mountain stage, less than 70km into the stage, he is already 10 mins behind the current stage lead and also more than 6 mins behind Pogacar and the other drivers who are competing for the total win.

Guess his effort yesterday to attack early, riding with one teammate for almost the whole stage, only to be overtaken by the field on the last 500m before the finish line was the last opportunity for him to make a difference.

Today’s quarter-final is too close to call :grimacing: but my prediction for the semi-final is that :italy: will score :soccer_ball: but lose to :sweden: / :england:

It’s going to be a very tough match. You really can’t predict anything. It will be down to the little things, but I think :england: will go through to the semi-finals. I think their offense is a bit stronger than :sweden: 's.

Above all :england: has Chloe Kelly :heart_hands: :soccer_ball:

Vingegaard :denmark: comes home 2min 11sec behind Pogacar, that will add up to three and half minutes in the overall.
