Two good goals and one well taken penalty :soccer: It’s worth watching the highlights.

Tomorrow evening at 2200 (UTC+3) in Istanbul, it’s the UEFA Champions League Final :soccer: between Inter Milan :it: and Manchester City :england:

Manchester City will be favourites, but, apropos of nothing, here’s a short 6m14s video…

financing at major sports clubs is somewhat questionable.

a little story from my hometown club where i played as a youth player:
the sponsor back in the 90s, had pumped so much money into the team. we had a lot of players in the Regionalliga, today 4te Liga 3 down from the Bundesliga. we had so many players who all played in Bundesliga one or two years later. when the sponsor died in a tragic car accident with his three passengers, logically there was no money left. so the relegation went down to the 7th league. back then, there was no social media and markets outside. a lot has changed in 30 years, not just a soccer club. the tradition is still there.what i want to say is that you have to invest if you want to play at the top. today perhaps in different spheres than 30 years ago.there are really only very few clubs left that can not survive on themselves from external sponsors.I love LFC but they are also in the CITY league in terms of external donors.
workers’ and traditional clubs among themselves. so i’m in favor of CITY. also because of Bert Trautmann, an absolute legend of the game as well as a human being. And i really love the game of Ilkay Gündogan

in the end the better (luckier) will win :soccer: :trophy: :soccer:

ok, i have to revise myself. what happened to you in the premier league in the last six month was not on my mind.
that is a shame

oh no a poll … help !

Yes, there have always been rich clubs with rich owners, but what is happening with Manchester City (and now Newcastle United too) is on a completely different scale, and the Fair Play funding rules are just inconveniences to lie & cheat your way past

Is @joekamprad ?

  • Inter Milan

in Turkey they called me Juventus

Some say that he knows two facts about ducks and both of them are wrong, and that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals. All we know is he’s called @joekamprad !!

FT 1-0 to Manchester City who complete the treble of Champions League :eu: Premier League :england: and FA Cup :england:

That’s it for the European club season 2022-23. At international level, for men there’s some UEFA 2024 qualifiers and friendlies over the new few weeks. For women, there’s some friendlies leading up to 20 July, which is when the 2023 Women’s World Cup kicks off in Australia and New Zealand.

It looks like we will see Alexia Putellas at the World Cup after all - she’s been named in the squad: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65882053

very worth reading. thanks for the article! :soccer:
fortunately they still came to an agreement this is good news for every soccer fan.

“Aus rechtlichen Gründen kann dieser Beitrag nur in Deutschland gezeigt werden”

But it’s OK, I’ve found an alternative

I have not thought about it

we only got one pont because ukraine ran out of steam. they are such a shambles.
ok, it’s still a year until the european championships, but i just don’t see any world class in this team.
a lot of very good to above-average players, but there’s still a lot missing for the world’s best.

These things go in waves, but no men’s team will want to face Germany as they are always a danger. At least your women’s team is strong, and will be one of the favourites in the World Cup :soccer:

remember. wm 2018 preliminary round exit :white_check_mark:
remember. wm 2022 preliminary round exit :white_check_mark:

i dont see any danger there :joy:

things goes in waves down here with the ‘Mannschaft’ . It’s simply ridicolous

you are right, i see some world class players compared to other nations. this will be a very good world championship. in terms of play and tactics, some of the teams are at a very high level. :soccer: :trophy:

:de: men have won 3 World Cups and 3 European Championships in our lifetimes. The total for :england: men in the same time period is a big fat :zero:

I will always be nervous when playing :de: :soccer:

US open this coming weekend. I’ve had a couple of their mowers here to test for the last month or so. Looking at it this past weekend, they are almost ready to go. I can’t wait, it’s good to have it back in LA
