This is only happening in the taskbar for me, in dolphin it they work
Already running 6.8.0-rc7-1-mainline
.
Even the Nvidia legacy driver (390xx) has already been patched. Works great so far.
fwiw, the first Linux 6.8 stable kernel should be out tomorrow (yes!), assuming no unexpected setbacks. (From what I’ve read, Linus Torvalds seems very optimistic about this.) Based on a sample comparison of repo timestamps, the Arch variant of Linux 6.8 stable should be released within the next 2 days after that.

Edit: I just realized that the quoted comment was in response to my comment about this upthread; I’m new to the EOS forums, so it’ll take time for me to familiarize myself with the inner workings of these threads. In any case, I’ll probably leave these 3 sources here for posterity
The only issue I had on Plasma 6 was the floating panel. I had to turn off the feature, because the systray was close to unusable.
Just looking for a way to return to single-click. Maybe I’m just not seeing the forest, because of the trees (german proverb). I really don’t like the double-click feature.
LibreOffice just got an update (libreoffice-fresh 24.2.1-2) fixing the above said issues.
yes, KDE6 not using accents color for icons on the taskbar, I miss to explicate that the issue is only for Taskbar, sorry
Someone on Reddit say : On plasma 6 all the system tray icons now comes from the icon theme that you are using. So even if you change your plasma style, nothing changes.

If it is so IMHO is not good, I use KDE for his great personalization and I can have accent color Purple on 99% of my system but non on the tray that is the part of the system that is 24H for day in front of my eyes? I think next update will solve it
Thanks. The german translation is a little bit off, in my opinion, so can be easily overlooked.
You can change this via the following
System Settings → Workspace, General Behavior → Clicking files or folders: ○ Opens them
They’re working on a lot and have already fixed and re-fixed a few bugs at the moment they are being swamped with bug reports so it may take them a bit.
No problem for me. I’m sure there are more important things to do. I might have found it, eventually. It was not too urgent.
Quick question to people that like this paradigm: how do you select a single file then? Just curiosity.
Right mouse-click. It even opens the context menu immediately. One normally doesn’t select a single file without the intension of applying further actions.
True, let’s try it for some time
and renamed also it was called different before…
My only “bug” so far is that my screen resolution/size is correct at some level (my wallpaper is sized to fullscreen, when I fullscreen an app it fills the screen correctly, etc).
But the virtual desktop believes the size to be different:
The first desktop has a fullscreen webbrowser open, but you can see on the panel that it only fills 3/4 (2/3?) of the virtual desktop.
The virtual second desktop shows that when I drag something like konsole off the screen the virtual desktop thinks there’s more to go (I use the push to the side tiling feature a lot and this makes it frustrating).
I’ve searched everywhere and can’t seem to find how to reset only the virtual desktop size. Anyone know if this is in some setting/menu?
(For the record, this was not happening before the update).
Selecting where the plus icon is, in the upper left hand portion of the individual icon, works too. LIke @Trekkie00 said, right click is the norm. I’ve also done ctrl click, assuming there wold be more to choose.
In this article:
It is stated “Changing your wallpaper can now be done from System Settings. Choose whether you want to change the wallpaper for one specific screen or all of them at the same time.”
However, I can’t find this setting anywhere in System Settings. Does anyone have a clue of how to do this as stated in the article? I don’t consider switching to Activities a solution because that’s not what the KDE announcement mentioned.
Thanks.
