Package Manager error preventing me from downloading endeavouros

hey guys i’m trying to install endeavouros but unable to do so as i keep running into a “package manager” error ,which terminates the entire installation ive downloaded endeavouros before and i never had this happen to me ,so im stumped

If i do recall this was the error code

Installation failed
package manager error:

The package manager could not make changes to the installed system. The command

pacman

returned error code 1.

In the network section, uncheck the packages ipw2100-fw and ipw2200-fw.

They were recently removed from the repos. We will need to update the installer to reflect that.

aye it worked but now i’ve ran into another predicament , my windows entry isnt appearing on the endeavour grub bootloader…any idea what could be causing this??

ima just reinstall it…

You will need to enable os-prober by setting GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false in /etc/default/grub.

Then run the following:
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Both systems need to be installed in the same mode for both of them to appear on the Grub boot menu.
So they both need to be installed either in UEFI mode or in Legacy/MBR.

gotcha ima still reinstall it cause I had a misleading perception on budgie

may i say the support here is amazing gotta love this community

oh and is it possible to get the deepin de running in endeavouros? if so is it advisable?

Yes, it’s possible. You’ll need to install it manually.

what do they mean by the term “respectable”

Me too 3x (,but no problem) : https://termbin.com/sxmo , https://termbin.com/17e1 , https://termbin.com/p00lw . But it’s interesting how small things can cause disasters.
