It’s an amazing bar, truly a beer lover’s paradise, with tons of Belgian offerings. Check out their beer menu in the link above.
EDIT - a correction, they have some De Dolle beers, but not the Special Reserva. Dammit.

Road trip when this craziness is over!
It’s just coming onto 09:00 am and you folks are making me thirsty.
At least I have coffee.
Since I don’t have any beer at home right now (shame on me), I’m just having a really cold Whiskey Cola. This, by the way, is very refreshing when the humidity and the temperature are as high as they are right now in my region. If I had some beer at my place I would drink a very tasty Andechs Doppelbock,
Prost
Cheers

Cola ist ungesund (106g Zucker pro Liter) und macht nur Durst auf mehr
Ich mische mir Cidre mit Eiswasser, das löscht fein
Cola is unhealthy (106g sugar per liter) and only makes you thirsty for more
I mix cider with ice water, that extinguishes fine

It’s true!
OK, so after the disappointment of the Woodland Farms Brewery Ruby Slippers Raspberry Sour Ale (see above), I went into this next new (to me) beer with a bit of apprehension: Frobscottle Sour Ale, from Foulmouthed Brewery (South Portland, Maine USA). You gotta love the name of the brewery, Foulmouthed . It’s a sour oat ale with raspberries added during the aging process.
Well, I’m happy to report that this one is a winner . The sourness is subtle, as is the slightly tart raspberry flavor. The oat base gives it a somewhat rounder mouthfeel, although I would still say it’s on the lighter side (but not watery nothingness like, say, a Bud Light). The balsamic vinegar taste that you would expect from a sour is present but subdued.
Overall, a very nice beer, quite refreshing, more subtle overall than a typical Flemish red (like Rodenbach), and one that I would happily purchase again. I see that Foulmouthed Brewery makes a few Brettanomyces beers, plus some interesting looking stouts. I’m gonna have to investigate them a bit more.
Good little Polish beer.
I’m a homebrewer and rarely buy commercial beers, monastery beers being the exception, but I’ll be out of homebrew for the coming months.
So I brought home some cider from the Hardangerfjord, prime apple growing district in the country.
After an unfortunate drinking trip to England (Whitley Bay) in the late eighties (cider were almost unknown here at the time), I’ve developed a strong aversion to ciders. But this one’s quite dry, refreshing and delicious. Also slightly hopped.
And, of course, some quality pipe tobacco to go along. Scottish Flake, a no-nonsense, but high-quality, Virginia-based blend.
Cheers!

Out of a 16oz can. Really flavorful and deep stout. Nice and strong, but not too powerful to be easily drinkable.
Cheers!
Milk, with oreos on the side.
Might have some Captain Morgan and Coke tomorrow.
Saturday morning, time to have a little breakfast.
I’m about to whip up a couple of breakfast burritos, which will be accompanied by a scorching Carolina Reaper pepper and a couple (OK, maybe three) Angry Orchard hard ciders. Because, you know, it’s too early to drink beer .
Life is good.
A little sweet for my preference, but i do love cider. Ace and strong bow are a bit higher on my list.
I do like about a half a shot of tequila added in to cut the sweetness for me in my angry orchard. Either way it’s a great breakfast drink
Yeah, this one’s a bit too sweet, but every now and then it hits the spot. Especially with a crazy hot pepper.
Angry Orchard also (sometimes) produce a drier hopped cider, which is really good, and fantastic on tap if you can find it.
