KDE Plasma 6 is out in full! (and now on EOS! Yay! )

I think i have noticed that as well (if i understand you correctly): at times a window that i maximize on one even “flows over” partly to the second screen - it happens every now and then, but I’ve not found a way to reproduce it consistently.

Or did you mean something else?

Nah, not that. I have dual monitors, and the maximised window does not invade the other monitor. In my case, the start menu is always displayed far above the correct position. Always.

And the bottom part of a maximised window goes beneath the task bar, always.

Ah, I see - then I can not confirm.

I’m on

Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.6.22-1-lts (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics

Maybe I have QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1.2 in the environment.d. I installed KDE to a system that was using Gnome, and I had been using that scaling for QT apps, because they looked too small.

I reverted the system, so I cannot test it right now. I will test it later when I have more time.

I hope that solves it for you.

Same here but I also have a pre-consieved bios. It reminds me of Ubuntu!

Check if there is an update for your bios

I did that last time with fwupd and it destroyed my grub!

Use Hiren’s this time

I don’t want to boot Windows media either as it might infect my endeavourOS.

At any rate, if I had a “pre-consieved bios”, I would seriously be considering changing the motherboard

But then I’d have to upgrade everything.

Because Wayland was, is, and will remain, crap. There is no fixing it.

This is not really true. Get the x out of your eyes. (xeyes)

I´m seeing this blue artifact lately on Plasma 6, when I open yakuake; not sure if it’s Plasma, Wayland, or Yakuake that is causing this…

Anyone else seeing this?

Are you talking about the blue line where it says’ shell? Image provided from my system.

Edit: I went into the menu on yakuake and hide borders. Looks like this now!

No, I mean the entire blue area: that should not be there. It is attached to yakuake. When I press F12 to open yakuake it comes with yakuake and if I press F12 again it disappears with yakuake.

Cannot confirm. Never seen this.

Maybe try to change the window size/position in the Yakuake settings and see if something rattles loose?

Thanks; tried as you suggested.
Changing the width did remove the blue area - until I closed and opened yakuake again, then the blue area was back.

I see you already filed a bug report. :+1:

Looks like some graphic glitch. Out of curiosity: have you tried a different skin?
