Gparted not detecting primary drive during manual partitioning on a secondary drive

Should i flash it normally or with dd mode?

You can use dd or what is your normal method?

I use rufus with which recommends iso. So i dont mess with that

Doesn’t it have dd mode?

Edit: Is it downloading?

Yes it has, but dd mode flashed usb doesn’t show up in file manager in win11

Yup almost done

If you have success with rufus on Windows then do what you usually do.

Edit: What desktop are you planning on installing?

Well I plan on migrating my works from windows to linux(Eos if there’s a way to overcome invisible ssd) . Or I will look for another arch based distro

It will work fine. Others have it installed on this Raid hardware.

Should i use the nvme_load=yes or normally booting?

No … it’s all built into the ISO

Edit: Just boot normally.

Yip almost done

Same thing, invisible ssd

Well that’s weird as it worked on others.

You could try adding the kernel parameter but just to be sure.

I think it’s a hardware specific problem. I might try reinstalling windows with ahci in the future. But for now I cant afford to lose my works…

Anyway thanks guys for taking time out for helping me.

You may have to go into the UEFI Bios and turn off RST or set the mode to AHCI from RAID. But the problem is that Windows may not boot after doing that and then requires to be reinstalled. If you have data on that disc then that’s an issue.

You don’t want to lose your work.

Nope not working

Yes I might try that in future after I get another laptop. But for now I think I will play it safe for now
