Under settings, then Power Options I selected screen blank - never & for automatic suspend i selected off. But the screen blank option always reverts back to the 5min option after i close out settings.
Will this solution that @joekamprad posted back in 2021, still work?
Hi everyone,
I’m using the Gnome DE and I’ve disabled “Blank Screen” and “Automatic Suspend” in settings, but in some cases that I haven’t caught yet, my PC goes to sleep. This causes a whole manner of bugs when waking up from graphical glitches to ethernet not waking, I’d just like to disable sleep, hibernate and suspend altogether.
Does anyone know where?
Cheers,
Axii
sudo systemctl mask sleep.target suspend.target hibernate.target hybrid-sleep.target
Thanks!

Another user has also reported on the same issue here:
Whenever i change the Screen Blank, Automatic Suspend or Power Button Behavior, they change back to default as soon as i leave that menu section. Is there any other way to change those options besides Settings? I’m using Gnome but never had this problem on any other gnome distro.
I am not sure disabling suspension or hibernation has anything to do with this issue.
