is it me or are there no calendar events in the top bar calendar anymore??
Or just use Control-key+mouse wheel to change the size of the icons.
sudo pacman -S gnome-text-editor
sudo pacman -S gnome-console
Text Editor does what it says, and the preferences redo is inuitive…
Console is clean and minimal and will use it when I don’t want a fast ddterm session.
Nautilus (aka Files) right context menu option to send files/folders to MEGAsync is no longer there. Any ideas?
I only have a basic usage of the terminal and text editor so I would be open to changing to the new simpler versions but if it isn’t possible to set the terminal to green text on a black background is it really a terminal?
the settings for Night Light do NOT work
fixed in 43.1
I don’t have this issue under openSUSE Tumbleweed:
mutter-43.0-1.1.src
gnome-shell-43.0-1.1.src
gnome-control-center-43.1-1.1.src
What does one install under Gnome? I don’t know Gnome. What extensions? Do you have a list?
gnome-console and gnome-text-editor

Show me the extensions.
Pop-tiling
Gsconnect
Dash to dock or dash to panel
That’s pretty much all you need.
I almost forgot the most important extension (because of all the things I like about gnome. . . . WHY THE HELL CAN’T I JUST MAKE MY CALENDAR START ON MONDAY?!?!?!)
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1720/weeks-start-on-monday-again/
gsconnect the 43 version ?
Ya. Or whatever version. It’s just a great extension.
Show me the extensions.
You would just need dash to panel to be satisfied with gnome
The problem is i don’t know what to install in order to get the extensions i want. It seems just so hit and miss! Nothing like installing packages from the AUR on Kde.

possible they picked that fix for tumbleweed
i don’t know what to install in order to get the extensions
I think there are two popular options.
**The first one you just a) install a package via pacman/yay and b) enable extension in Firefox. Both links are provided here:
-
Choose “wiki page” for (a).
-
Choose “Click here to install browser extension” for (b).
In the same page above you can then browse and select extensions to install, also change their settings. I believe it is somewhat similar to widgets in KDE that can be installed by selecting online widgets/extensions.
**Option two is to use the gnome extension manager GUI instead.
yay -S extension-manager
I’m going to have to try this…
