I have always found Gentoo Linux difficult to use. Although I was the same with Arch Linux years ago.
I think I compiled the kernel a long time ago. Back then, even a Linux user needed to know this.

@Jaidip
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for giving EndeavourOS a try. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Pudge
Cool!
Yeah, another Enlightenment user. I use Enlightenment on EndeavourOS and Void but don’t use it on OpenSuse. Does it work pretty well on OpenSuse?
Poor Deepin and Zorin…
Wow, Manjaro is the most used!
That’s a whole lot of them
Sorry for no BSD’s I forgot
I too think that vanilla Gentoo is difficult, as it assumes the user knows their system very well. With Arch everything more or less just works. But maybe it is just a matter of what you are used to.
Yes it does work as reliable as KDE does using openSUSE. That’s supposed to be a statement, because openSUSE is known to have one of the best, if not even the best KDE integration amongst Linux distributions.
Theres always Calculate Linux
I have Calculate running in a VM. I found it very easy to install, but still a little over my head for setting up/adding programs/normal usage. Take that with a grain of through, I’m a linux n00b if there ever was one.
Portage is rather complicated and openRC will take some getting used to for systemd users. I like Calculate because it makes the installation easy (there’s a GUI and command line based way) and it provides binary packages. It can be a real pain having to compile everything, especially on a mobile device. It is nice to have a completely supported by the system way to do so if you want to, but have the other possibity as well.
I wouldn’t say i use other distros currently but i used to. My main stay is EndeavourOS and i probably use other desktops more than other distros. I do try other distros for different purposes of learning or finding out something and also comparing the install and usability to EndeavourOS from my perspective as an average user.
in VM i use Ghostbsd & LMDE 4
Is that actually a surprise? It’s a big time distro. It’s my “backup” distro when I travel. I always have an updated Manjaro live USB in case something happens and I just need something up and running and working immediately. I owe a lot to that distro. I have met some folks I’d consider friends at this point, and it saved me from Ubuntu based nonsense.
Just trying out the MX-19.2 AHS (Advanced Hardware) - it’s up to kernel 5.6!
Also a Xubuntu install to go with EOS and Arch on here…
