This is exactly the path I went through. I used to love Gnome, its simplicity, because even though KDE was similar to Windows, it had annoying bugs. (for example, the dancing mouse cursor after clicking on a desktop icon, while nothing happens) I used Xfce for quite a long time, I liked that it was very configurable, but the interface was simple. Then came Cinnamon, and after 4.3 releases I looked a bit at Gnom. I liked it at first, but then I realized that it is hardly customizable, and almost every purpose requires an extension, because the desired function is not included by default. For this reason, I even got into a debate on the Gnome forum about why it will be more customizable, if it is needed at all. Iâm back to KDE after a long time. I was surprised at how clean its interface has become and there are no more annoying bugs. It can be said to be stable.
Yeah, nothing makes one appreciate KDE, as trying GNOMEâŚ
When i think of Gnome i think of Ubuntu. Thatâs all it reminds me of.
Youâre all kde lovers, and I suspect mostly desktop (not laptop) users
To me gnome makes sense on smaller screen laptopsâŚ
I do like desktops but not with Gnome. I wouldnât put Gnome on a laptop either. Gnome doesnât make sense to me. It belongs on a touch screen tablet type device. Gnome done right is Cinnamon, or Budgie or Zorin. The standard Gnome Ubuntu looking layout ⌠not my thing!
Câest la vie btw I just like to tease kde users but my favorite = tiling wm
right now into spectrwmâŚ
Câest comme ça mais câest nul !
This is entirely wrong.
Period!
I would not let my ex-wife date gnome!
Maybe itâs already her daily driver. How would you know?
Itâs the absolute objective truth
That would be one of many reasons she is my ex!
Here you go:
Yeah, not easy let go
I do sympathize!
