Just installed Megasync and when I try to run the program in the console, the words in quotes in the post title show up. I’ve looked this up and am seeing several different ways to solve the issue, including creating a symlink:
Hello i’m on latest Endevour OS with gnome, i have problems with the latest updates.
After, i think, the update of icu from version 73.2-2 to 74.2-1 some apps, like terminal, consolle, timeshft give me this error:
error while loading shared libraries: libicuuc.so.73; cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The apps doen’t launch at all.
Thanks to btrfs i loaded a snapshot, for now i’m ok but i can’t update my system.
Someone got the same problem?
Any solution?
Thanks in …
And installing library icu73 (although I’m not sure how to do this).
So I was using discord_arch_electron for a long time now, and during an update I saw this error. I decided to uninstall the package and reinstall it again but the error showed up again.
I have to use the default discord package for now which installed properly without any issues, but any other discord package that contains a newer electron version is broken and the same error mentioning “libicui18n.so.73” shows up.
Is that an issue on my end? Any way to fix it?
What should I do to solve the issue?

How did you install megasync?
If you installed megasync-bin
, you can install icu74
from AUR.

Looks like icu74 worked for me. I installed the program through the instructions on the mega.nz website (I forget where to find them exactly).
