so I type in modprobe nvidia?
when I do it nothing happens
Did it do anything when you pressed enter.
no
You could try a reboot and if you get black screen you’ll have to go back into tty and log in again as root.
ok
i got the black screen again
ok I have to do something I will be back
Maybe start back at the beginning and uninstall it all and see because i’m not sure what you did prior and maybe something is messed. This will uninstall it all and then see if it doesn’t boot then at least you’re starting from zero. If you want to … I know this is a pain but these dual graphics can be a bit troublesome at times.
sudo nvidia-installer-dkms -n
ok i will do it
Just wanted you to uninstall all the Nvidia
em ye sorry I fell asleep what was I supposed to do?
sudo nvidia-installer-dkms -n
ok one sec
I get a bunch of text in green and some errors
Did it complete?
no it’s says
cannot remove conflicting package virtualgl: checking dependencies…
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
removing virtualgl breaks dependencies’virtualgl’ by lib32-virtualgl
I don’t have either one installed on my system. Is it asking you to answer yes or no?
no it’s just displaying the error
oh and it’s also failes the fetch the Nvidia branch
the part that’s is cut of is the error I posted before
