When I was about 12 me and one of my pals walked to the tip of a jetty to do some fishing. When we noticed it getting dark we decided to head back to camp since we didn’t have a flashlight. Unknown to us, a number of alligators had emerged from the marsh and gotten behind us on the narrow jetty, blocking our path. Some of them were huge! With darkness rapidly approaching we shouted & threw oyster shells at the nearest brute until he retreated back into the water. We advanced a little, and did it again to the next monster blocking our path. Even more alarming–the ones we frightened away climbed back onto the jetty behind us after we passed! Over a truly terrifying 10-15 minute period we managed to bluff our way through the beasts and get off of the jetty. This memorable bit of boyhood terror took place at the Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge in South Louisiana in the 1970s.

great deepfake since 1) I never heard of the magazine and 2) the ad copy gives it away.
cute. It could have been out of the National Lampoon but it wasn’t.

Dick was actually a brilliant satire not many know about. I hope people give it time someday. Whoever faked this had fun: movies were from the same year.

both funny :grinning:
