This reminds me of where I grew up, if you wanted to see a good fight you’d just go to the cricket pitch on Friday night (used to happen right in the middle of town til they set up their safe city cameras)

Yup grew up with red bellies in the backyard, I remember being scared as one day when I had to take a leak and as the act was happening one decided to just casually go past me, it was probably the seconds scariest thing I ever expierenced apart from the first time I went fishing, the tide started to come up so dad got my brother and carried him back to the bank from the sand island we were on and as he was heading back to me a salt water croc casuallty cruised past

Even in the city have to be careful, went for a walk a few years ago and he was recording it testing out his new go pro and when we watched the footage back we had a big carpet python slither over the path in front of us (was probably close to 2 metres long) but on the walk neither of us saw it at all, luckily they’re not venomous and it just stuck to its own business
