I think AMD lowered their prices for the newer CPUs compared to the older ones. In that case, no matter which discount they are putting it on, the older one remains more expensive.
It is a tax thing that they have to deal with, it is not old enough to write it off and too new to lower the balance value.
Sorry for the short economics lesson, but these strange prices are very common.
