Akchchually, this is factually incorrect. The bright object in this picture is M31, better known as the Andromeda galaxy. We are definitely not where the arrow is pointing.
But what if the picture has been taken by an alien on the opposite side of the Andromeda galaxy, pointing his camera towards the Milky Way? I mean, I’m sure aliens are advanced enough to make a meme and add a dumb arrow on a pic.
It clearly isn’t, though. Because you can see the M32 galaxy (the bright spot above Andromeda) and M110 (the one just above the word “here”). Their position clearly shows what angle the photo was taken from.
