You’re very right in saying that voices of many want some hero on a hill to do everything for them, but that times are very gone (they were never there actually, but still there was a massive illusion).
That is very true my libertarian 
friend, however:
There is always someone standing in front of a tank on Tiananmen square, for that reason.
Probably giving some courage and hope to those who stand nearby, even if this Titanic is already underwater.
I hope that more and more people will see in realtime things for what they are.
And better fast, coz people who can actually deliver some coherent thought, glimpses of real news or just document all of this - are getting banned massively.
I really do hope that things like Signal, Matrix, LBRY will take off, because of their de-centralized nature.
