Your Favorite Torrent Client?

  • To be clear, this is NOT about what you’re torrenting, the legalities of torrenting, or any pirating links/sites.

Having said that, those of you who torrent, what is your go-to torrent client? I’ve used Qbittorrent for a long time. Many years, actually. Lately, I’ve found KDE’s Ktorrent to be far superior. At least in my user-case the past several months. I think I’ve made the change to Ktorrent permanently.

What do y’all use?

Qbittorrent for me. No big reason why, it’s just the one I happen to use.

Qbittorrent. Was one of one my first experiences with foss, all because i was stuck in a ad loop in utorrent, so i decided to look for a alternative. Used it in win 7, 10, and i will keep using it in Endeavour !

Napster was my introduction to torrents. Probably for many other also. I think torrents got a bad rap from that. Anyway, I think it was utorrent that I used. It was amazing to watch it work as I was easily impressed back then. I use qbittorrent now. It seems to be a full featured client.

I use KTorrent, mostly because it is so tightly integrated with Plasma.

Transmission on cinnamon, Ktorrent on KDE, just because they’re doing their work, I’ve got no favorite.

I rarely use Torrents anymore to download “Linux distributions” but my two favorite torrent clients are Deluge and Fragments.

Qbittorrent for a while now though I will use transmission for theming purposes, my torrenting needs are very minimal these days

I also use qBittorrent only to download ISOs (when available) to test run on VirtualBox. :computer:

QBittorrent hands down. The built in search engine has helped me take my pirating skills to the next level.

Transmission for Gnome, Qbittorrent for KDE. Both clients are decent.

Qbittorrent is simply the best, i’ve had times where i tried a bunch of torrent clients, back in the day on windows i’d always end up on utorrent or bittorrent, when they were badly compromised one day i started looking for alternatives and found qbittorrent and it just worked.

On the linux sid ei used something like deluge and i think transmission too, but they just weren’t working very well, i switched between torrent clients a bit but ended up going back to qbittorrent, where again, everything just works.

Qbittorrent is the way to go, no matter if ur on linux or windoze.
