I’m trying to change some of the colours in a kvantum theme, does anyone know what the name of this part is…
I can’t seem to find the right line to edit in the config.
You can search for 'menu' and replace the color with the one you want.
I recommend using Replace All for consistency.
And don’t forget to back up your .svg file first 
Alternatively, you can grab the color code from the selection color in your screenshot, then search for it in the .svg file and replace it.
Thanks mate, I’ve changed a few lines and saved it but nothing seems to change in the actual theme. I think I’m not doing it right. 
After making changes, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall the Kvantum theme.
Ahhh I see, so don’t edit an active theme? Also, do I edit the actual svg image in Inkscape or just the code?
I’m not exactly sure how Kvantum renders themes, but after making changes, I had to uninstall and reinstall the theme for them to take effect.
For color changes, I edited the .svg file directly in Kate by modifying the XML. I used the ‘Replace All’ function to update the color values.

Hey mate, it’s something like menu-item . I have changed the .svg file, no need to change something in kvantum.kvconfig
As @dirn mentioned. Backup your original first

I think most start modding and then at some point they put up their first theme which is based on another theme, so basically a mod. So, never say never? I think you would have that takent
