I’m curious for a buddy of mine if anyone uses Endeavour for an X-Carve machine using
easel-driver.
How well it works etc.
Is the needed Software available for Linux at all? i do only see the driver… could be i can use general renderer tools like cura for 3d printing ?
May here are some infos:
https://linuxcnc.org/
easel-driver
is in AUR, however question was how good it works
but it will need some kind of programm that sends the data to the device.
I do have only a 3d-printer and they mostly have a simple controller with a screen and some knobs and a sd-card reader to control device. And i can generate the needed files with a program that supports the device.
This CNC looks like it does not have such control panel, so you need a controller software to do so directly from a computer…
and driver say:
Easel Driver is a small software that communicates between Easel and X-Carve or Carvey
so … there must be Easel for Linux ? is not… but you can create gcode files with easel and send them from a linux machine to the device… therefore is the driver…
