Winecfg and windows applications not launching

After updating when I try to run windows games through steam through proton nothing will load. Before updating everything worked fine. Also when trying to run winecfg I get this:

It is indicating it cannot load driver so I ran:

Is it older prefix or new one?

I deleted .wine in my home folder and ran winecfg got:

latest wine-staging and system fully updated

Try wine package instead for now (it’s already 9.x series), see if it helps.
Also i don’t advice to use system wine and system wineprefix…it will certainly break, unless version that you know for a fact won’t braek and that can easily change to whatever version you want, while using portable prefixes.

The regular wine package is working for me. Hasn’t broken in the last year that I’ve been using it. Never tried wine-staging.

thanks for the suggestions, It kept me motivated to keep trying. I am not sure exactly what fixed it, so far it is working after I uninstalled and reinstalled nvidia-dkms nvidia-utils, lib32-nvidia-utils python-py3nvml and gwe installed lib32-opencl-nvidia
uninstalled nvidia-prime
Restarted.

Now non steam games runs fine and winecfg and wine explorer.exe launch no problem.
