What's your go-to game?

just an old version of, whatever its called, i guess mm2, vortex is junk. i just installed all these (apart from the vault ones, and the far harbour ones) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/48496163?tab=user+files
i installed the normal way with the mod manager. you probably want the scrap all mod as well, cos in some of the settlements there are lots of trees and stuff that you want to remove to make space. remember the scrap all must go ABOVE the the settlement mods in the load order to work well

start with the northern exposure mod(its a pack of 10 settlements), its pretty good. a couple of the settlements are a bit broken, like settlers dont want to sleep, but most work perfectly

how did you install mod manager? I’m having problems with installation

ah, im dual booting windows…

Most of the time - X4 Foundations. Has a Linux native version, runs great.

What is the exact package name for the Linux version?

Here you can get it on gog and steam.

I have it on both platforms, but will stick with Steam moving forward, as you don’t have to re-download the whole game binary when an update comes out.

Also, check out Nexus mod page - lots of great QoL and additional content mods.

Ah, Fallout 4, one of my all time favorites. And yes, that is basically how I play it - just install Sim Settlements and build settlements, completely ignoring the main questline. I think the furthest I got was the very beginning of Act 2?

Use this guide for installing ModOrganizer 2 on linux.

I liked F04 but hated those settlements

this github project never worked for me, I just installed mo2 with winetricks and modified the steam command to launch mo2 from the prefix, it works and it doesn’t have a lot of fancy abstractions.

Blast from the past.

Lately it’s either Satisfactory or Powerwash Simulator, when I’m not playing Doom (2016).

Minecraft . . . loved lego’s as a kid and this still does it for me.

just a quick question does this meant that i can run mods using nexus on linux as well ? I haven’t duel booted yet. is it that the only way ?

You can use steamtinkerlauncher to get a nexus instance for your game (i.e for Fallout 3, New Vegas or 4). Here is the github: https://github.com/sonic2kk/steamtinkerlaunch

thanks i’ll take a look

Minecraft, Stardew Valley or Katamari Damacy for me. Playing whatever I’m playing currently is also on this list.
