Season 48. Forty freaking eight of SNL. This show almost a half century later still cracks me up.

Very interesting to any programmer, I think. I don’t agree with 100% of it, but 99% is solid stuff.

This is a awesome movie!

It sure is. It was lost in my long list of movies to watch, but finally managed to watch it last night.

Great movie

Ten Days of A Good Man
Streaming on Netflix with synchronized audio-overdub in many languages (therefore no subtitles needed).

A Turkish take on Philip Marlowe and Film noir, transported into our times in Istanbul, Turkiye…

Love it, “nothing’s missing” from a good movie here, not Hollywood, not even the Coen-Bros.
Great entertainment and therefore highly recommended to cineasts from all over, including any casual movie-watchers!

I remember traveling from FRG to West-Berlin often, about 2-3 times a year in the late 1970s / early 80s. It was a really strange experience, passing through the “transit-route”, going for “shopping” in the assigned “Intershops” by the freeway. I never forget the fear-inducing looks of the GDR cops when passing the border into West-Berlin. Those looks were so intimidating, and seemed to last for hours.

Back then, West-Berlin was THE cultural hotspot in all of Germany and beyond. Loved it so much as a young lad, going to Discos / Clubs / Bars all through the nights - non-stop party!

Anyone remember the “Jungle”? - It was the most hyped club, where David Bowie and many others used to hang out… I remember drinking champaign with strawberries at the bar in between dancing in the dark halls of the “Jungle”…
