I bought a Beelink SER5 Max last month and I am loving it for emulation (using Batocera). I guess it can handle some lighter Steam games too; I installed Steam but haven’t tested it out yet. Currently I’m playing thru the RE1 remake on Gamecube. Always wanted to play this game since it first came out.
I’ve been revisiting a couple of childhood favorites after getting them to work in Wine: Lego Island and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (via JJ2+).
I should note that Lego Island requires Wine Staging, otherwise you won’t be able to interact with anything outside the Information Center you start in.
Yesterday i saw messages Mass Effect 5 got canceled. I also read that they shut down bioware which i could not believe. Today i read those messages everywhere.
I’ve possibly never played any games from BioWare (at least, not any new or modern ones), but it is sad to think of them shutting down because some new billionaire wants to only make live service games going forward.
They wanna take away our fun so that all we think about is how bad the world is.
I really enjoyed the entire Mass Effect series. I’m sad to see another IP fall by the wayside because of the whims of corporate giants.
It has to be said though, the last game in the series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, really got belted with harsh gamer criticism when it was released, because of bugs that were pretty quickly ironed out. There were public drives to boycott the game.
It literally became a meme. Gamers may now be paying for that harshness.
