@Trekkie00 my personal favorite of the two movies was Leningrad Cowboys Go America. My cousin Volker and I watched it a lot. It used to drive my uncle crazy.

Upon first listening, I loved the melody and singing, but now that I’ve read the English translation of the lyrics, I love the song even more:

Kid took an annoying car-door sound and made it into a beautiful beat

Proof that because you CAN, doesn’t mean you SHOULD…

(it’s still annoying )

Aaron Spectre and Aaron Funk have taught me that, if your name is Aaron, you probably have it in you to make the best breakcore in the world, lol.

I have no idea how the Swedish language sounds to you who do not speak the language. In Sweden we speak both Swedish and English. We get to learn it early in school. Then if you get good at English is another thing

The song is an old Swedish song that touches the hearts of many in Sweden. It was a long time since I heard the song before I heard it today.

That is very true! :upside_down_face:

Think this song is the original:

Sorry, but I think the Swedish is better. I like this one too!

I agree, the Swedish is much better! Thank you for posting both versions.

The Swedish language is, to my ear, one of the most beautiful languages.

I have a collection of Ingmar Bergman films on DVD, and I prefer to watch them without English subtitles. Having watched these films so many times, I already understand the dialog, even if I don’t completely understand the language, so watching them in Swedish is most enjoyable.

My first language is English, and I am somewhat conversant in German. (Some Norwegian was spoken in my home as I grew up, my grandparents having emigrated to my country from Norway.) My best friend in primary school was Swedish, and I loved hearing Swedish spoken in his home when I visited.

Compared to any language with which I am familiar, I love the Swedish language.

I like this Swedish interpretation of the 1969 Tom Paxton song better… även om jag gillar Freds version väldigt mycket.

My first rock festival was Donington 1980, and the DJ who played songs inbetween bands played this song as the sun went down. I was sixteen. I wasn’t a Journey fan or even knew much about them but it always stayed in my mind.

Happy days!
