proton VPN has a free tier (i sound like a proton shill but i just like privacy).
also i would recommend keeping ublock origin enabled. even if the default configuration in mullvad does very little (still blocks all ads though), it keeps your fingerprint largely the same as everyone else using mullvad browser. kind of like how tor works but without the tor network (that being the whole point of the mullvad browser).
Pretty nice app. Lots of options for images.
Finally a m3u8 downloader extension that actually works in libreoffice. I ve tested it several times, and it only failed once. Not sure why but all in all it succeeded where all the other extensions failed when it comes to downloading from a playlist file for streaming video.
Cool, for years I have been using ffmpeg directly to download m3u8 streams.
odd that this extension has been flagged several times. I cant figure out why. Hmm. Maybe Im reading it wrong…
Is there a way to download just the audio of a video with tartube?
Simplenote is great, just use nvPY on desktop so you don’t have to deal with Electron. On mobile their official app is good.
This plugin makes Neovim notetaking monster https://github.com/epwalsh/obsidian.nvim
I sync my notes with syncthing to my phone.
A browser without pics or videos
Thats more than enough

According to the discussion https://x.com/Magnolia1234B it’s now https://github.com/bpc-clone?tab=repositories the official one…until the next ban
If you are looking for an alternative, Ladder is a self-hosted solution that is easy to set up.
There is an AUR package as well, if you want to just install it on your normal computer and run it as needed (instead of deploying it on a server or something).

I found another speech to text app for Android. I actually found it at the same time when I found FUTO, but because I was so impressed with FUTO, I didn’t bother testing and installing it.
I have been missing out!
It is just as good, but a little faster with the transcriptions. AND IT IS 100% OPEN SOURCE!
As mentioned above, FUTO is source available, not actually open source.
An example of how well it works:
Are we recording or not? It looks like it’s recording but I don’t actually see any text. Should there be text?
So, to continue with our testing, hopefully this is working correctly all the same, and hopefully this is better than FUTO, that is F-U-T-O voice input, which is source available, not open source. Unfortunately, Transcree boat, T-R-A-N-S-C-R-I-B-R-O, is only the only way you can donate to this app or the developer is with Monero. So that is a private cryptocurrency, the only private cryptocurrency that exists actually. But the issue with that is I don’t use crypto, so I can’t donate to the developer unless he provides another method. Anyway, it is nice knowing that I found this app. I hope everything I just said is actually transcribed. We will see, let’s give it some time.
An error with the spelling of its own name, but not with Futo .
The other error is me just changing the structure of my sentence while speaking, so it isn’t actually an error.
EDIT: I added it to alternativeto > https://alternativeto.net/software/transcribro/about/
Tried a different screen recorder. OBS is a powerful app.
wow, really fast - almost 0 delay here !?
thx!
Nice little Dashboard for your HomeLab
I have been using that for a few months now. Very happy with it and I like the interface much more than CoreCtrl myself. The only weird thing I have with it is that when I shutdown down my computer LACT makes my GPU go full 100% for 2 seconds where CoreCtrl does not. But that might be a thing specific to my setup…
Since it’s been a long while that I’ve used Cinnamon as my daily driver, I’d forgotten about this. So perhaps this is an application I recently re-discovered. It’s available in the AUR.
